New name for Merton Voluntary Service Council (MVSC) revealed
Merton Connected revealed as new name for Merton Voluntary Service Council (MVSC)
MVSC, the supporter, enabler and champion of Voluntary, Community and Faith sector organisations, has announced today that they will be operating under a new name and will be known as Merton Connected, effective immediately. This rebranding strategy reflects both the evolution and breadth of the work the organisation undertakes as well as its vision for the future whilst placing Merton at the heart of its name. Along with the name change, a new website has been created which prominently features the support available to its different audiences alongside a new Merton Connected logo which subtly captures the notion of interaction and connectedness, core to the work of Merton Connected.
Simon Shimmens, CEO of Merton Connected said “MVSC has just celebrated its 35th anniversary and, after a year where the voluntary, community and faith sector has been placed in the spotlight with more residents than ever turning to them for support, it is the opportune time to create a forward-facing brand which better represents our organisation to those we support to drive our strategy forward.”
The website is structured and clearly signposted for three different audiences namely organisations, volunteers and community. All data held in the existing database will not be transferred and all organisations and individuals previously registered via the MVSC website are being asked to re-register at the new Merton Connected website.
