Merton Giving Coronavirus Fund – Response, Resilience and Recovery
We’re delighted to be granting funds to local charitable organisations through the second phase of the Merton Giving Coronavirus Fund – Response, Resilience and Recovery providing support and services for people and communities impacted by COVID-19. The list of beneficiary organisations is listed below and will be updated as more grants are awarded.
You can still help us raise money to grow the fund.

Skillspool Training CIC
To provide a digital befriending service to digitally excluded and socially isolated residents.
Unique Talent CIC
Mentoring and workshop crisis interventions to provide support with Education, Employment and Training alongside emotional support.
AFC Wimbledon The Dons Local Action Group
Contribution towards the purchase of Chromebooks for children to access online learning.
Online creative workshops for young carers to support their wellbeing.
ATS Creative Arts
Performing arts course for young people and staging a virtual showcase targeting residents in the Pollards Hill area.
Peer support and choral singing programme of support for the local veteran community, supporting them to overcome challenges and integrate into wider community life.

Provision of retail employability training and support for young adults with additional support needs.
Lantern Arts Project
To run a community Film club.
Maggie's at The Marsden
Provision of telephone and virtual support to cancer patients living n Merton.
Merton & Morden Guild
To provide practical support including shopping, medication collection and transport to medical appointments to elderly residents primarily those residing in the East of the Borough.
To provide culturally appropriate meals and ‘keep-in-touch’ telephone calls to 35 vulnerable elder BAME residents residing in East Merton.
Merton Giving Panel 13th December 2020 - Grants Awarded
Ethnic Minority Centre (EMC)Providing yoga, soft exercise, art and music sessions, to ensure continuity of their services, for the physical and mental wellbeing of local BAME communities.
Mitcham Town Community Trust
Provision of technology to support vulnerable young people and their families by enabling them to access online learning and essential activities.
Performance of Covid secure concerts, at St John’s Church over the Christmas period, at affordable ticket prices for members of the local community.
Partnering with the Loving Earth Project to support the wellbeing of Merton residents of all ages by creating a creative record of their experiences and thoughts during the pandemic.
BLAM Charity takes a wealth of vital resources online with the help of a grant from Merton Giving
Like many small organisations, Black Learning Achievement and Mental Health UK CIC (BLAM Charity) did not have the necessary resources or equipment in place to adapt as quickly as it needed to when lockdown hit.
