Wimblecomm is looking for a new Trustee

The team at Wimbledon Community Association, the local charity behind the online Community Hub for Merton, Wimblecomm, is looking for new Trustees to join their Board.  Their mission is for Wimblecomm to connect people with places and their passions across the Merton borough.  The website, starting out as a venue directory in late 2016, has grown to a dynamic and thriving online community hub, hosting a fully illustrated and searchable spaces directory, events calendar, blog, newsletter, and, most recently, a Covid-19 hub. The charity is self-funding but the Board is keen to explore the option of monetising Wimblecomm in order to generate income in the future.

They would love to hear from anyone with a passion for community space and related events/activities in Merton and with an interest in further developing and marketing Wimblecomm.  The Trustee role is flexible in terms of time spent and provides the opportunity to become involved in either a mainly strategic, or more hands-on capacity, depending on personal preference and experience.
