southlondon.biz  - the enterprise arm of Merton Chamber of Commerce – provides services to start up and businesses across South London with up to 250 employees to help your business develop and grow. Our services include information, advice, support, consultancy services, business-to-business networking and training.

We have a network of accredited business advisers who specialise in all aspects of business.  We are committed to putting the needs of the customer first, and deliver solutions to meet your needs, using locally based venues and advisers.

If you are in the throes of setting up a business, we know how frustrating it can be if you can't access the help you need quickly and easily.  By working with the London Development Agency and Business Link we aim to be the local one stop source of help, and if we can't provide the solutions you need, we provide that vital link to those that can.  We run "Start Here" awareness sessions to give you a taste of all the decisions you will need to consider before taking the plunge - and we offer tailored one-to-one meetings with one of our advisers to help answer specific and commercially sensitive queries.  We also run a series of invaluable workshops on key business issues such as Marketing, e-commerce and Finance.  And, when it comes to finance we'll even offer to help with your business plan and meet with your bank to discuss funding.

Our help doesn't stop when you start trading.  In fact, research shows the first two years are the most critical for a new business.  That's why we offer a full diagnostic review of where your business is now and look at the best way forward to help you achieve your business objectives, often through a Business Mentor working with you for the equivalent of half a day a month.  This helps to ease the burden on you, the business owner, in those early stages, leaving you free to get on with running your business rather than worrying about it!

And we don't stop there!  More established businesses can also get tremendous help and advice.  Often changes in the market, local economic fluctuations or simply pursuing development opportunities put a great strain on the business owner.  You need sensible and practical advice, and often the outsider professional adviser can see what needs to be done.  It takes courage and commitment to ask for help and advice - but we can guarantee that you will be glad you did.
